463,000 lb Demethanizer Install | Reeves County, TX
On March 8, 2019, a Liebherr LR 1500 Crawler Crane lifted a 463,000 lb demethanizer vessel at the Diamond Cryogenic Facility in Reeves County, Texas. The total lift load including deductions was approximately 491,000 lbs. Altus Midstream contracted Saulsbury Industries to build the plants and Saulsbury Industries then awarded RMS Cranes the heavy lift crane support package. In addition to the demethanizer tower lifts, RMS is handling a variety of equipment on the job including six cryogenic skids and three surge tanks. Each of those items weigh 120 US tons. Some of these lifts required offloading and strategically staging the components prior to setting the equipment, thus requiring engineering and lift planning support to safely complete the job.
